Quartz Worktops Doncaster
Free Consultation
01302-490-277
A quartz worktop is usually the most durable upgrade you can make to an existing kitchen without replacing the cabinets underneath it, and getting the fit right starts with an accurate template rather than the worktop itself. We survey your kitchen, laser-template the exact shape of your cabinet run, and fabricate the worktop off-site before installing it in a single visit.
Across Doncaster and South Yorkshire we work with quartz alongside granite, marble, Dekton, Corian, Minerva, porcelain and laminate, so if you're not sure quartz is the right material for a busy kitchen, we can talk you through how it compares on site during your free consultation.

From Site Survey to Sink Cut-Out: What's In (and Not In) Your Quote
- A free home visit to survey your kitchen, review your existing worktops and cabinets, and talk through colours, thicknesses and edge profiles
- Laser templating, accurate to within a millimetre, usually completed in under an hour with minimal disruption
- Factory fabrication and edge polishing to your chosen profile — pencil round, eased, bevelled or ogee
- Delivery and a dry fit on installation day, with any adjustments made on the spot before anything is fixed down
- Sealing and fixing to your cabinets with specialist adhesive, plus a standard sink cut-out
- Caulking, finishing and clearing away your old worktop and offcuts under our own registered waste carrier licence
Not Included / Costed Separately
- Hob cut-outs, upstands and premium edge profiles — these are quoted individually and typically add £200-£600 to the price
- Reconnecting a gas hob or range cooker — carried out separately by our Gas Safe registered engineers, not automatically bundled into a worktop-only quote
- New wiring for things like under-cabinet lighting or a new extractor — handled by our Part P approved electricians as an addition if you need it
- Alterations to your existing cabinets or units to accept the new worktop — worth flagging at your consultation so it's priced in from the start, not discovered on fitting day
From First Measure to Fitted Worktop: How the Job Runs
- Free consultation and home visit -- We come to you, look at your existing cabinets and layout, talk through quartz colours, thickness and edge profile options with physical samples, and give you a written quotation with a CAD visual before anything is ordered.
- Laser templating -- Once you confirm the order, we return to laser-template the exact shape of your worktop run, accurate to within a millimetre — this is what catches out-of-square cabinet runs before they become a fitting-day problem.
- Factory fabrication -- Your worktop is cut and polished to the chosen edge profile off-site, with any sink or hob cut-outs machined in at this stage — typically a 7-10 day turnaround.

- Delivery and dry fit -- The finished worktop is brought to your kitchen and dry-fitted first, so any last adjustments can be made before it's permanently fixed.
- Fixing and finishing -- The worktop is sealed and fixed to your cabinets with specialist adhesive, the sink is cut in if it wasn't done in the factory, and joints are caulked to a clean finish.
- Old worktop removed -- Your old worktop and any offcuts are cleared away under our own registered waste carrier licence, so nothing's left for you to skip or dispose of yourself.
What a Quartz Worktop Costs, by Size and Finish
Supply and fit for quartz generally runs from around £200 to £1,000+ per square metre, with the range driven mostly by brand and slab thickness rather than colour. A standard sink cut-out is included in that figure; hob cut-outs, upstands and some of the more decorative edge profiles like ogee are quoted separately and typically add £200-£600, because how much machining they need varies too much job to job to fold into a flat rate. Gas hob reconnection and any new electrical work such as under-cabinet lighting are priced as additions, carried out by our Gas Safe registered engineers or Part P approved electricians.

None of this replaces a proper look at your kitchen — the figures above are a starting point, and the price you can actually hold us to comes from the written quotation after your free home visit, once we've seen the cabinet run, access and any cutting involved.
How Quartz Compares to Granite, Laminate and Porcelain
| Worktop material | Sealing | Heat & scratch resistance | Typical price guide | Best suited to |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Quartz | Never needs sealing — non-porous | Scratch-resistant; heat-resistant but still use a trivet | £200–£1,000+ per m² supply and fit, depending on brand | Busy family kitchens wanting consistent colour and low upkeep |
| Granite | Benefits from resealing every year or two to stay non-porous | Naturally heat-resistant; can chip on a sharp impact | Priced individually after a site visit — natural stone varies slab to slab | Homeowners who want the individual veining and pattern of real stone |
| Laminate | No sealing, but damage can't be polished out the way stone can | Marks and scorches under direct heat — always use a board | The most affordable of the materials we supply | Budget-conscious kitchens or rental properties |
| Porcelain | Never needs sealing — non-porous | Very heat and scratch-resistant, though the thin edges can chip on impact | Priced at the premium end, quoted after a site visit | Modern kitchens wanting an ultra-thin, seamless worktop-to-splashback look |
Why the Template Stage Decides How Well Your Worktop Fits
Every worktop we template is measured with a laser rig accurate to within a millimetre, which matters more on an older kitchen than it sounds — cabinet runs are rarely perfectly square, and get that stage wrong and a mitred corner or sink cut-out won't sit flush once the quartz arrives back from fabrication. You also get a genuine choice of edge profile — pencil round, eased, bevelled or ogee — rather than a single house-standard edge, so the finish matches the rest of your kitchen rather than just the worktop material.

From Doncaster City Centre to the Villages Around It
As well as the towns already listed above, we regularly template and fit quartz worktops closer to home across Doncaster itself, including the city centre, Balby, Wheatley and Wheatley Hills, and out to Bessacarr, Cantley and Woodfield Plantation. Bawtry and Tickhill, both conservation towns to the south with their own market squares and older housing stock, tend to have the kind of period kitchens where an existing run of cabinets needs careful templating rather than a standard straight measure. Sprotbrough and Warmsworth sit along the Don valley on Doncaster's western edge; Auckley, Finningley and Branton lie close to Doncaster Sheffield Airport to the east. To the north we cover Rossington, Thorne, Armthorpe, Conisbrough, Mexborough, Adwick le Street, Carcroft, Dunscroft, Dunsville, Askern, Bentley, Stainforth and Kirk Sandall, along with Hatfield and Blaxton.

For larger installations, specialist stone, or jobs tied to a bigger renovation, we also travel further out into York, Leeds, Wakefield, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, Derby and Derbyshire, and Hull.
Questions We're Asked Before and After Templating
How long does it take from templating to a fitted quartz worktop?
Once we've templated your kitchen, fabrication in the factory usually takes 7-10 working days, and fitting itself is done in a single visit — a dry fit, then sealing, fixing and the sink cut-out. Busier periods or unusual edge profiles can push that towards the longer end, so we'll give you a realistic date at templating rather than a generic estimate.
Do I need to clear my kitchen before you come to template?
Just the worktop surface itself — clear away anything sitting on it so we get a clean laser reading of the cabinet run. The cabinets stay where they are; templating doesn't involve any cutting or fitting, so your kitchen stays usable in the meantime.
I'm only replacing part of my worktop — can you match the quartz I already have?
We'll do our best, but quartz is manufactured in batches and colour can shift slightly between them, even within the same named colour. If an exact match matters to you, bring a photo or a cut-off to your consultation so we can check current stock against it before you commit — we'd rather tell you honestly if a perfect match isn't possible than promise one and disappoint you on fitting day.
Which edge profile should I choose?
Pencil round and eased edges are the easiest to keep clean and suit most kitchens; a bevelled edge gives a sharper, more modern line; ogee is more decorative and tends to suit traditional cabinetry. We bring physical samples to your consultation so you're choosing by feel, not just a name.
Is the sink cut-out included, or is that extra?
A standard sink cut-out is included in the price. Hob cut-outs, upstands and some of the more elaborate edge profiles are quoted separately — typically £200-£600 depending on what's involved — because they vary too much job to job to fold into a flat rate honestly.
Can you reconnect my gas hob once the new worktop is in?
Not as part of a worktop-only quote, no — disconnecting and reconnecting a gas hob or range cooker has to be done by a Gas Safe registered engineer, which we can arrange as an addition if you need it. It's worth flagging at your consultation so it's costed in rather than a surprise on fitting day.
What happens to my old worktop?
We take it away, along with any offcuts from the new one, under our own registered waste carrier licence — there's nothing left for you to book a skip or a separate collection for.
Can you give me a fixed price without seeing my kitchen?
We can give you a rough per-square-metre range based on the material you're interested in, but a firm price needs a site visit — cabinet condition, access, whether units need adjusting to take the new worktop and how much cutting is involved all affect the final figure. The written quotation you get after that visit is the number we hold to, not the estimate.
